12V appliances

Post by trickytroggle »

Have now got my new T25 Magnum LHD and love it.....doesnot have a camper interior (fridge and cooker) but a great big bed and no storage!!!
There is a lead running from the battery with 2 pin point on it....can I hook up a cool box to it?
ALSO< I have some really 'nice' new lights that I would like to add, how do I do this? Can I just add them onto the existing light or what? Keep it simple for a simple gal if you can when answering (Hopeful aren't I!!)

Trickytroggle, are you going to Deva Dubs this coming weekend? If you are & you're camping with the 80-90 crowd then you may be able to get some advice. :) If you're not, why not?!!! :(

Cool boxes and fridges take a lot of current and should not be run from the main battery, unless you like walking home.

You can run cool boxes and fridges from the van electrics when the engine is running without any danger.

Lucky you ..a nice new van?

Are the lights for the interior Sally? as long as its 12 volt stuff that's ok

as has been said you really need a leisure battery for coolboxes when the engines off.
quite simple to fit in a couple hours with all the bits

unless you freeze a two litre bottle of water...that will last a couple of days in a cool box

or find a gas fridge
