Water Pump

Post by Devs »

I have an injection engine with a DH engine code, i was lead to belive when i bought the engine that it was a 2.1 DJ but i now think its a 1.9 injection??? can anyone confirm this is the case?

I want to replace the water pump as i am having some circulation issues, does anybody have any idea what would be the most suitable pump to purchase from JK's???

is there anything i need to be aware/careful of when replacing a water pump?

Cheers in advance

I doubt there's much difference between the petrol engine pumps, but I'm sure somebody will confirm or correct this. If you've got a DH, one for the DH.

Make sure all surfaces are free of dirt, grease and old sealant before re-fit; that O rings are in good nick (if not supplied). I use a grey oil, water resistant gasket/pipe sealant from Toyota.

Be sure to use the correct torque settings (I had a bit of dyslexia and snapped a stud). Refer to Haynes manual.

Enjoy!
