gearbox

Hey folks,

Does anyone know if this gearbox will work on my 2.1i 4 speed petrol engine - ?? (my bus is 1983 and did have a 1.9 DG engine in )

The gearbox discription said nothing to say if its for a 1600cc or 2ltr.Also its for a Aircooled engine and you would need the gear change linkage as its diffrent to yours.I run a 1.6td with a 2ltr DK gearbox off a Aircooled engine. I used the diesel bell housing and input shaft from the diesel box and fittted it to the 2ltr dk box to fit to my engine.As yours is a petrol dg engine you might have to swap your bell housing .If this gearbox is off a 1600cc Aircooled if fitted to your engine the ratios will be to low ie very high revs in top.
