2.0 A/C Carb Bolts

Post by javawolf »

The nuts that hold the carbs to the inlet manifold keep comming loose on my van. Takes about 1000 odd miles to do so. Once this happens the van starts playing up in the midrange as it sucks air. Tighten the bolts again and all is well. Ok in the scheme of things this is not a big problem and aslong as I keep a 13mm spanner on me it is ok.

The question is does anyone else have this problem? I was thinking of replacing the gasket between the carbs and the manifold and putting spring washers between the carbs and the nuts.

Any other solutions?

Why not use spring washers or lock tight solution product.
