Thinking of fittting rear seat belts into the van.
anyone know if a westfalia has the mounting stuff for a 3 point belt.I allready have lap belts, just want to change one for the new editions car seat to be able to fit in the back.

Ancorage points have nothing to do with who converted the van.
The year and original type (ie panel or minibus) are a better guide.

1980 probably not.
But it's not impossible to fit anyway. you just need to drill the panels and put strengthening pieces in.
Some one who has done this might let you know how.

if the van left the factory with windows and not a converted panel van with windows hacked into it then seatbelt mounts will be already installed, and you can buy belts from VW, as I have just done.
