1989 1.9 petrol washer fault - where can I get new switch

Post by davesarge »

Hi first of all thanks Tonytech (if you read this) for diagnosing the fault with my windscreen washer. Once I shorted the correct two wires out to in effect bypass the switch the wipers and motor did what they were supposed to so it must be the switch at fault. Therefore does anyone know where best to obtain a new switch, which presumably comes complete with the stalk etc? I am off to VanWest or would GSF be best?

Thanks

Glad you have found the problem.
I'll have a look at suppliers later.
Just campers dont list them.

SORTED!

Post by davesarge »

Only just managed to get hold of some contact cleaner but its done the trick!

Thanks for all the help, would have tried before but since the multimeter was showing voltage at the switch I wrongly assumed it was working. Anyway all sorted and for £0 which is always nice!
