Fuel hose sizes & sourcing

Post by irishkeet »

Hi

Anyone know what diameter fuel hose i should be using in the engine (2l Aircooled)

I also need to change the hose connecting the end of the small breather pipes coming off the top of the air filter casing but im unsure of the size.

Checked the wiki with no joy

I was hoping to get unbraided hose with proper clips (no juilee) if anyone knows where? GSF only have braided...

many thanks
keet

The hose is 5.5mm internal dia (push fit without clips) and I have just ordered some from VAG.
Some folk use the easily available 6mm with fuel hose clips.

I haven't seen the hose as it was out of stock. I have some 6mm which is very thick but not braided. It's probably superior grade to the old braided type because it's a three-ply construction.
