brake warning light

DONT LAUGH
my warning light comes on when the hand brake is down and goes off when i put the hand brake on. i have plenty of fluid and ive cleaned and made sure the wires behind the switch are ok,has anyone got any ideas.

if the van is an aussie import you will find this is common, also the van will do about 80mph in the four reverse gears... :lol:

no idea but its funny aint it!! :lol:

it'll be the switch, its common for them to fall to bits, its also common for the wires to get trapped under the mats.....

or the switch in the res is duff, and the one on the handbrake is counteracting it. a bit like the light switches at either end of a hballway, or top and bottom of stairs working loposite each other...
