Where do you guys recomend for engine parts?

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

I've looked on just campers and there stock is limited at best.

I've got my engine out and need:-

  • the oil seal behind the fly wheel.

The needle bearing the gearbox spindle goes into. (inside the flywheel)

The O ring that sits inside the fly wheel.

I've looked on VW heritage and think i've worked it out on thier diagram.

Image

33 Oil seal, flywheel,1.7-2.0 VW & T25 WBX 1.9-2.1
[029-105-245/GEN] £14.95

'or'

33 Oil seal, flywheel, T2 1.7-2.0 & T25 WBX 1.9-2.1
[029-105-245/B] £6.94

plus

38 Bearing for crank T4
[111-105-313/A] £2.50

42 O-ring for fan hub
[021-119-125/A] £2.75

Can anyone confirm which Oil seal it is? And are the other bits right? The parts are listed for Bay window vans but i think my 2litre CU enginge is the same.

Oh! also should i have any play in the crank now the flywheel is off? I can pull the fan on the other end in and out about 5mm!

The part number says GEN (as in Genuine) so I assume thats what they are offering, a genuine one and a replacement..

As for play in the crank "endfloat" you will have some as you have removed the flywheel.. there are shims behind the flywheel that determine the amount of endfloat, this should be felt as a "click" when the flywheel is bolted back up when you push and pull the flywheel.. I cant remember what the actual spec is but I am sure someone will be along to say in a min..
