Hi Guys
I have a 3/4 bed in my van, looks like JK type. Works fine but I am concerned about how it is attached to the van. It doesn't seem very solid. I'm going to be getting seat belts fitted as we have a baby on the way but there doesn't seem much point splashing out on new belts if the seat itself isn't fixed to the van securely. The brackets are attached to the side bits of plywood which in turn are just fixed to the bulkhead with rightangle fixers from Homebase/B&Q. Nothing is actually bolted to the bulkhead.
Could anyone with a similar setup post a pic or two to show how theirs is done. All help gratefully appreciated.
Matt

Hi Matt the catt,
I have JK rnr hinges on 3/4 width....we fitted them ourselves. As I remember, the brackets are bolted through the slanty bit of the metal work under/behind the seat, as well as to the side supports (we used 18mm mdf) that in turn are fixed to the floor. The belts are fixed to the metal work of the van.
I don't understand what is stopping your seat from falling forwards if it is not fixed to the bulkhead??
