Seat belt clip - door paint chipping

Post by CovKid »

Heres a problem I've never solved.

When you let go of retracting seat belts, the metal part chips the door paint. Over many years this can cause hundreds of chips to the paint.

Anyone got a cure as it was something VW seriously overlooked in my view. I would imagine bays experience the same problem.

I'm just wondering if the answer is to swap for belts with plastic coated clips? Drives me nuts!
