Grab Handles

Post by BillyBus »

Is it possible to fit a grab handle on the driver side? I have two plastic blanking plugs in the position it would be. I would like one on my side as it would be better, and safer than grabbing the steering wheel to haul myself up on, as I have found on many occasions when the wheel turns and I end up scrabbling onto the seat.... very elegant
Has anyone seen my marbles?
No...oh, wait...I never had any :)

You can get them from main dealer I think. I got mine from JK but make sure you order the screws as well.

20 years ago my Dad had a Caravelle from the dealer. That had a grabhandle on both sides from new, I'll bet because he asked for it. Done for the exact resion you mention, we never worked out why it wasn't standard.

Sadly the dealer wasn't so clever when fitting a door poket on the passengers side, it was the exact same position to the drivers one, so you had to open the door to get the glovebox open fully.
