Dj T3 2.1 gasoline engine problems.

Does anyone have an idea what could cause my Dj T3 to violently jerk while driving. Stalling, stalling while moving and engine braking while driving. Thank you
P.S. it might be an electronical issue since depending on the amount of things that are on and using electricity it runs better or worse.

From your description, my best guess is that it sounds like you are losing power to the engine electrics intermittently.
I would remove, check, clean and replace all the earths in the engine bay and particularly the earth strap from the body to the gearbox. In fact, I would start with that one.
What state is your engine bay wiring in? Is it all tidy shiny original or a chaos of odd wires and crimp connectors?

Just a thought, but also check your battery terminals are done up tight.

only have one ignition key in the ignition switch with no other weight on it, by this age the electrical part of the ignition switch may be quite tired, and whilst it is a cheap part to replace it's a little bit of work to do it, having a bunch of keys, or mascot etc. on the key can cause momentary loss of electrical (ignition pin 15) connection which will give the symptoms described, bumps and rough roads will show it up
