Headlamp fuse for Square headlamp conversion.

Post by keynsham1 »

I am fitting the square headlight conversion to my van. As I will have two high beam lights on each side instead of one, the current will double. The system has a 10A fuse and one headlamp will pull 4.6A. But two will pull 9.2A which seems very close to the fuse value. My manual doesn't suggest a different fuse when having the square lights. Should I fit a 15A fuse in this case or leave it as it is at 10A. I am aware that the purpose of the fuse is to protect the wiring so I am reluctant to change it.
