Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

What are these parts??

Post by LittleNik »

Hi, just wondering if anyone in the know can help me to identify some VW parts, please? When we bought our T25, the lovely old guy who sold it to us and who had had it from new gave us a huge box of spare parts that he'd bought new online over the years. I'm guessing some don't fit our van Imageand he's just held onto them. They're all VW but we don't know what some of them are. If they're no use to us then we're happy to let them go to someone who needs them but we need to know what they are first! I've attached the first photo. If you can help, we'd be really grateful as we're mechanical novices! Thanks

Ah, right, thanks for your replies. They look unused to me. I know the previous owner said he bought a lot of parts from JustKampers. So, how would I go about pricing them if we want to sell them on, you mention they may be worth a bit, Rob? We've just forked out for a gearbox rebuild so if we can make a bit back on these part that would be great! 🤣 We're based in Liverpool but we could post if someone wants them...

These labels are on one of the parts, don't know if that helps? We've searched the part number from the tag online and it suggests a genuine VW power steering return pipe for the T25 Vanagon model (hydraulic hardline). The price bracket suggested is between £130-£160 for this pipe as it's apparently sought after. I'm not sure if these are a pair? What does anyone think? The second pipe doesn't have a label on it, I've just assumed they're together. If they are then the suggestion is that they're worth £300 for the pair. Does this seem right?

They are for the front section of the power steering hard line system for right hand drive.

Although rare. There won't be a large market for these, as a lot of us have moved over to hydraulic pipes.

The  part number label in the plastic bag tied on the pipe is for the pipe with no part number label  on it.

Ah right, thanks! I'm guessing they were probably tied together at some point. We've got so much stuff in this box! I'm going to sort through and photograph it. Watch this space and if anyone is interested in these rods let me know.
