Tank breather - how do I get them back on!?

Post by BarnyE »

Well I took off my tank breathers to replace all lines, paint the arch and general clean up.
Went to put them back on. Stumped!
How do I do it? If I put the “lump in the hole” the bolt hole is no where near lining up. If I put the bolt through the hole first, I can’t push the other end up!

What’s the correct process? Does the “shreks ear” pipe go down the corner or along the flat?

Thanks for any help!

If you've cleaned it all up then we apply some vaseline to the lump as you call it the bolt up but not tight trial and error once you've done you will always remember, then with the heel of your hand give it a good short sharp thump up and it will pop right in
