So my buzzer of doom has been going off for the past few days. Only when I go over 2500rpm, so I believe it's caused by the oil filter switch (or faulty buzzer of doom?).
It did start going off a couple of months ago, but I replaced a connection on the earth crowns (cleaned them up) and this seemed to fix the issue. I also replaced both connectors on the oil pressure switches.
Anyway, I bought myself an oil pressure gauge tester, to make sure my engine is ok. I read through some previous posts and tested it all this morning. I'm unsure what the levels should be for my engine though.
Readings (from cylinder head switch port):
Cold Start:
Idle: 5 bar
2500 rpm: 6 bar
Up to temperature:
Idle: 1 bar
2500 rpm: 4 bar
Can anyone tell me if these readings seem ok for a 1.9 n/a diesel engine? Should I do the same test from the oil filter switch port too? Didn't want to annoy my neighbour too much this morning.
Cheers.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Reading
Fantastic, cheers Colin.
Is it worth me testing the switch port on the oil filter housing also? Or should I start ripping out the buzzer of doom and installing a dash mounted oil pressure gauge?

The readings at the oil filter housing can only be better, being nearer the oil pump.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Reading
So, I managed to check the oil pressure from the switch port by the oil filter today, and got pretty much the same results.
Cold start:
Idle: 4bar
2500rpm: 6bar
Up to temp:
Idle: 1.5bar
2500rpm: 4.5bar
So pretty sure the engine is ok
Guess it's got to be a ground or a faulty buzzer?
The grey switch is only a year or so old (ordered from brickwerks), so I doubt it's gone bad, but I may order another one to rule it out.
If anyone has any tips, please let me know.
Cheers.
