recarpet1988 AUtosleeper Hightop

Post by jordan01070 »

Hi I am after some advice on getting my Autosleeper Trident re carpeted, we have had the seats etc reupholstered by Autoretrim and they have done a fantastic job on the seats and door cards I am having trouble in finding someone to re carpet the van, does anyone know of a company around the midlands that can do this.

Cheers Jordan

Hi Rob, that link does help but I was after getting the hightop and sides recarpeted first as the carpet is shedding small particles.

Ahh, you didn't mention the sides and roof on your first post.

Any good campervan conversion company could do it for you.

Google them

Here is a random one

I have contact several companies and as soon as I described the camper most said no, one said it is something they are willing to quote for so I have shown the camper to them and they have come back with a cost of £3300.

Rough break down of work
Remove old carpet from hightop, cupboard’s etc
Remove old glue and clean
Re carpet hightop, walls and over engine bay
New vinyl floor
Fit new skylight
Fit new split charger

Is £3300 a good price considering the work.

There is alot of labour involved. I did mine myself, not something I would rush into doing again!
Might save a bit on the price if you removed the old carpet, glue and floor yourself. A dirty job but easy enough.
