Post by Burtybassett »

Trying to change the oil and the blasted Sump Plug won't undo.

Engine is cold and not been run today. Would it help if engine is warm ??

It's best to get the oil warm when doing an oil change, so there's no harm in trying that.

25Nm Remember to use a new copper washer. If you don't have a new one, you could heat the old one until it's cherry red and use it again.

The only silver washers I have seen are the ones that crush when tightened. If yours is one of them, it will need to be renewed. Or replaced with a copper one.

Just noticed you have a 1.9 TDI engine. I have no idea what they use.
