How is the rear view mirror fixed to cabin ceiling?

It's just kind of clipped in.

Rotate it 90⁰ and then it pulls out.

No bother.

I only removed mine to replace on Friday so was fresh in my mind. I'll admit I also had to use Google to work it out.

Well, that was dead easy.
It turns through 90 degrees either way. Reverse procedure to refit.

All done and dusted without any issues, Steve.
Replaced a basic mirror with switchable anti-glare version. Yet both have the same VW part number?
