Choke Vacuum Pump Reducer Inside Pipe

Post by maxstu »

Setting up the choke l found the choke vacuum pump does not hold. So l swapped for another vacuum pump off a 2E2 carb l had squirreled away (after selling two 2E3 carbs dirt cheap in 2023 :? )

This 2E vacuum has two spigots. So l blanked off one and testing with my vacuum gun, it produced vacuum from the other pipe.

But when l took the original pipe off the duff vacuum pump l forgot about the tiny reducer inside.

Which end does it go? Pump end or carb end? Or does it matter?

Regards
Stuart

Hi Stu,

I'm guessing you mean the little brass one? Mine is close to the pump end.

Cheers
