Oil in coolant

Hi guys desperately needing some help a friend just bought t25 1.9 dg .
Drove home drove perfect checked oil and water next day slightly oil deposits in header tank and reservoir.
Not over heating . No leaks no water in oil starts and runs like a watch ?
Any help appreciated

could be historic, if the cooling system isn't properly cleaned after a head gasket failure, quick swapped used engine and back on the road, just a bit of coolant top up, sell the van sort of scenario
DG engines don't usually have the oil interwarmer/cooler fitted which can fail, but worth checking. Syncro with DG engine do usually have the oil cooler set up.
IS there coolant in the oil ?

There's a small core plug between an oil gallery and water jacket. It can corrode and become powdery/porous and start weeping a little oil into the coolant. Apart from a little oil in the expansion tank, there will often be no other symptoms (until it lets go completely, sudden loss of oil pressure and a LOT of oil in the coolant!). Definitely a case of a stitch in time....

Has it had a oilcooler retrofitted?
