Only had Maisie 3 weeks and this is the first major bit of surgery. She came with a Blower that Blew mor fuses than air.
I wathched a couple of vids on the tube about removal of the dash/heater and they were helpful , if it was say a sierra I could do it blind ini in about 15 mins but never don a T25..
Overall the Job went ok..
My binacle needs clamp repairs so the 3D Printer is currently doing them.
I effectivly started the Job yesterday by removing the shear bolts, I tried Mole Grips to no avail. I tried a Torx in the little hole , No Dice.. So I got a normal chissle and set about getting them out . after about ten mins of hitting and the, going round I realised that I was rotating the washer, 5 mins later they were out and replaced by cap head bolts.
The removal this morning went fine, eveything came apart ok with the excpetion of one heat box mount that I fif not realise was snapped until I tried to put one backin..
Anyway I renewed the washer pipes and also sorted an ignition switched live to the stereo before takling the blower.
Who on earth thougt it was a good idea to glue the heater casing together? Or is this an ofddity on mine.. Took about half an hour to get in to the bloomin thing.. Blower swaped and tested it was time to go back toghether.
All went well mostly, I was just about to fit the dash when i rememebred the water pipes were still disconnected!! and The speedo cable went awol and I had to remove the grill and binacle to work our where it was ..
Probably took about 4hrs all in, could probably half that doing it again ( without the washers and glued airbox )/
I am going to give the old blower a dose of releasing fluid.. Always good to have a spare.
Just got the washer pump to replace tomorrow.
1st Camp next weekend.
Cheers
Rob

Good stuff.
Get used to spannering on these vans. I was going to say a great upgrade is the 3 nozzle jets for the front window while the hoses were off.

Yeah, I put 3 jets on.. Was not happy at first as the did not fit tightly, then found the rubber gasket in the pack, Only issue is she's had a respray inthe past and they did not remove trim so there's an outline of the old jet.

Good job, mine has not worked for years, initially started screeching then smoky and eventually gave up the ghost. Two screws in the dash near the windscreen refuse to budge, so still stuck with it.
