Gunson Gas Tester

Post by TONYT25T25 »

I have had one of these for years, I used it yesterday on the van and it appears to work ok giving out a digital reading which stabalised at 1.7% co2. Engine was probably revving higher than recomended idle speed but have no way to measure this apart from.by ear. The unit did not make any sound though, vaguely remember it used to make a ticking noise, anybody else use these.

Yes, they me a ticking noise from the internal diaphragm. It's quite loud, you wouldn't miss it.

Thanks, I haven't used it for a while so could not remember, mine makes no noise, so hopefully this does not affect its accuracy and function.
