A friend of mine has roped me into helping him out.
He has two 2.1 DJ Caravelle GLs. 1987 and 1989.
One is a manual and the shell is very good. The other is automatic but the shell isn't quite as good.
The plan is to swap the gearbox etc between vans, turning the better van into the Automatic, and putting the manual box into the other van
If we have both vans parked back to back in my workshop, is there anything unexpected we're likely to come up against?

The wiring to the auto gear lever under the van should be swapped over.

The rigid clutch pipe make be an issue , but new , it’s pretty cheap , the starter inhibitor wiring runs from the ignition ti the starter , you will have to cut it of the loom, pedal box needs swapping over , the rest is fairly straightforward
