Need to upgrade engine in 1982 T25

Hi, I’m new to all this. I’ve bought a 1982 T25 which looks in really good Nick but has the original 1.9 ltr petrol engine in it. I’m going to be towing a trailer so based on my research hoping to put in a reconditioned GTI engine in, possibly with an LPG converter. I’m based in South Wales and wondered if anyone knew of any mechanic who would do it and approximate cost. Thanks very much Sara
