Hi all - seem to have lost 4th gear in my DK gearbox - shifter selects 4th, but there is no connection at all between engine and wheels; and some strange noises coming from the gearbox (in all gears) which suggests that this is gearbox rather than gear selection.
(Have also been under the van and manualy selected 4th gear with no success)
Is it worth fixing the DK box, finding an alternative?
Currently mated to an AGG engine - is the DK a good choice (seems to be from a quick look at the ratios) but open to suggestions - currently running big 16" (215/65R16) wheels/tyres?
What do folks think? Is this an opportunity to 'upgrade' or should I just go for a fix?

Re: DK Gdearbox lost 4th gear
This should have been posted in "Mechanical" rather than "Alternative engines"?
Sounds like the transmission has stripped fourth and all that shrapnel will be making a mess of all the other gears in short order.
Rake it out and get it repaired, if there is anything left to recover.
