Struggling to remove the clutch slave cylinder. I cannot get a spanner under the bracket to hold the bolt while remove the nut on the top? Also accessing the rear nut and bolt is really difficult.
The bracket that holds the cylinder seems to be held to the gearbox with just two fixing points - a large nut and bolt on top of the gearbox casing and another bracket with a nut and bolt - I’m wondering if it might be possible to remove the cylinder by first removing the bracket from the gearbox with clutch cylinder still attached?

Re: Clutch slave cylinder removal?
don't try and remove the bracket
easiest way to undo the rear bolt is push the pushrod up and off the lever arm to get some space to work then you should be able to get at the bottom with a 1/4" drive socket on a long wobble bar from below and use a good fitting spanner on the top; use some plus gas or rostoff to break the rust
Having someone above on the spanner and one person on the socket below does help
top tip is grind away a slot in the angled fold of th ebracket to ease access from below subsequently

Thanks Adain and everyone, old cylinder is out and just waiting for the replacement. Looking at the position of the bleed nipplle there isn't much room to access it but the worst is done!
