spigot bearing again

Post by lexussoarer1996 »

Hi , bought the puller and it was out in minutes , a quick google of the part number and nothing came up so a trip to the local bearing services and they are unable to even cross reference the part number to anything suggesting that it will only be available from Volkswagen SA. They measured it with the sizes being 24mm OD X 15MM ID X 20MM, this also did not cross reference to anything they had in stock or could order.

They have suggested using a bearing 22mm OD and a shim , does this sound like a bad idea ?

Are parts like this still available from VW SA?

Here is a pic of the original part.Image

maybe use 2 or 3 of these standard radial ball bearings stacked 6802ZZ, if you can't get a replacement

but worth dropping an email to Stuart at SyncroHospital to ask if he can supply the original VW one part number 22S 105 313 A

as it is a F special bearing from INA it probably isn't listed in the UK from INA because they are not transparent about all their bearings in all markets so INA F-221178.1 doesn't come up anywhere and with anything automotive from INA, ie Shaeffler it's complete s show nightmare getting a straight answer to enquiries
