VW T25 2.1DJ Syncro Transporter / Camper

Former Ambleside Mountain Rescue Ambulance

35,000 Miles.

In order to help finance my recent purchase of a Westfalia California, I'm offering this rare opportunity to buy a good condition low mileage UK Syncro.

I bought the Syncro in 2005 after satisfying myself (as far as possible) that the mileage showing on the odometer was correct. Since then I've had it into the body shop for a complete exterior (windows out) two pack paint job; and into the workshop for a complete 'all fluids, filters, brakes and bearings' service / check. During this time in the body shop it became obvious that the van has had a few bumps and such like during its mountain rescue service, but there is very little rust.

During my period of ownership I've stripped what was left of the ambulance interior, have waxoiled all the interior cavities and have replaced the original rock wool insulation with polystyrene. I've fitted a full width Westfalia Rock& Roll bed (c/w new cushions), some laminate flooring and some replacement interior panels in a coloured light ply.

It has a split charge twin battery system and the main vehicle battery was replaced around 6 months ago.

It runs and drives very well, though it could probably do with a new exhaust system this summer.

In the pictures below the time and date stamped ones were taken Sunday 18 March 2007, whereas the others showing the twin headlamp grill (no longer fitted) were taken Feb 2006 when it was fresh from the paint shop. More photos available if required.
