engine bay black box

Post by jim potter »

hi all,

currently redoing some wiring.
what feed should go to the pole in the engine bay black box ?
where should it be taken from ?

is it from alternator to the pole ?
or should it be a perm 12 post ?

cant seem to find a answer in the wiki

thx jim

The threaded post is the permanent live (heavy red wire).

This is my 1983 DF junction box.
All other petrols should be similar - just a bit more cluttered. :)

It should link the fat red from the alternator, to the fat red on the main body loom.
And as you can see the battery live feed for the manifold heater relay.
1983 Tin Top with a poorly DF and 4 speed DT box.
1987 Electrics and a DJ engine.
Maybe one day I might get it finished
