Rear arm bush replacement

MOT this month, only now getting on with last year's advisory. Replace back rubber mounts.

Replaced all cv joints 2 year's ago. Heard slight knocking other day thought I was going to have to do some again.
Found these 2 trying to get away Check,check and check again.
Rain stop play for today
All that was last October put on hold till today.
Cut off bolt head landed
3 foot away. 1 to rember
Passenger side arm, spring and wing looking good.
Need to replace dish, might/probably have to replace brake pipes.

Driverside arm has hole in it, did that with my finger if you look at last photo arm looked great then.
Best to check properly not just look at our problems.
Question 1,is it fixable
Question 2 , do I use the original bushes(bought last year)
Or buy Powerflex adjustable

Thanks for posting images, looks like a long job there, noticed that the CV bolts as you say tried to escape, read a thread recently on here NOT recoMmending that they are greased as this affects the torque and can lead to them coming loose.

Looking at the overall condition I would suggest the answer is new trailing arm with bushes already fitted from, you've guessed it!, Brickwerks and save the money from not buying the Powerflex kit.
Inevitably the corrosion you see is probably not the end of it and you could end up doing it again sooner rather than later.
These days my approach is 'could I earn more than the cost of the replacement by working a bit longer than the time and grief to try and repair it?', I seem to have spent far too much money lately and forgot to do the extra hours at work..............but it was a far more satisfying outcome!
As for the CV bolts, keep them dry, if you lube a thread you have to compensate the torque value. Schnorr serrated sprung washers are also the bomb.

Didn't grease bolts when putting in, came loose and must have picked it up after.
Brickwerks are out of arms at the moment, if I read correctly.
Need central plates but probably repair arm ,use rubbers I have, then get it back on road and wait till arms are in stock at Brickwerks. As suggested

Don't forget the bottom brake shoe return spring and to put it on the correct way round.

I did fit the spring just.
all back together took it for a test drive but getting a grinding noise both sides I’m think drum rubbing on backplate.

If you're lucky, you won't see anything like this when you remove the rubber bush. That is meant to be a smooth bore (with no hole).

Haven't removed rubbers yet but didn't notice any problem yet so fingers crossed.

There’s a tube video repairing a arm he puts a new tube in for the bush.

Ollari's garage - Rotten trailer arms
He fixes far worse and bigger holes than my one.
Plus he even replaces the tube like the problem you had RogerT
Must admit though I would have gone for new arms straight away if mine was as bad as his.

Right arm bad and arms are out of stock everywhere.
Did go on culture campervan ,right arm didn't say sold out but were, they did try and order from Germany for me but alas even they were dry. Would have been an extra £75 per arm too.
VW camper specialist near me are trying to fix arm
But as picture shows not going to good.
On plus side I did manage to replace passenger's side rubber
Acquired a cocktail shaker ( bootsale 50p) cut off base, couple of nuts,thread, washers,jubilee clip and bit of scaffolding pipe an hour and a half later and it's in



Made mistake of taking off pipe to check progress obviously wouldn't be able to put back on

If anyone has a good or better arm for right side please pm me.
Will try and get bus back on road with what I've got but will be going get new arms ASAP
