Dim dip

Post by nicktennear »

Daft question alert, did early vans have dim dip headlights? I'm replacing the switch as it's kaput. No lights at all at the moment so I'm in the dark.

Dim dip was only on later vans , and is almost always disconnected these days due to relay upgrades

Mine had a large resistor mounted on the body work close to the headlight, I think there was one for each headlight. I removed them a long time ago when I fitted twin headlights and pretty sure that is what you are referring to regards the ‘dim dipped’ versions.

Thanks for the quick replies, I'll be upgrading the loom during this process as it is. The wiring in this old beauty is a thing of wonder, looks like Nana's knitting basket.
