New Van - Unleaded?

Post by xgav8 »

Hey everyone!

Brand new to the forum after buying a 1987 VW T25 last week (arrived yesterday!).

She has a fair bit of work before she's road-worthy but wanted to ask - will I need to add lead when filling her up?

And any other advice you think might could be useful for a total noob, I'm all ears  :D

Thanks

Gav

New Van - Unleaded?

Welcome.

1967 and newer & you’re good to go for unleaded in VW engines. Your valves will be fine.

Other advice, the wiki on this forum is excellent but long. Read a couple of sub-sections every day, too much to consume and remember at once. By the time you’ve finished you’ll know pretty much everything you’ll need for future ownership.

Diesel or petrol?
The secret to getting a pertinent answer is to put a good description of the van/engine/problem in any question otherwise you will get replies that are not relevant. :D
