Aux Water pump relay JX, AAZ, Etc
Does anyone know what relay I should be looking for to run the Additional water pump on the TD engines?
I think it will give a timer off delay to allow the coolant to circulate after the engine is off but I'm clueless when it comes to actually sourcing stuff. If anyone can give me some pointers I would be grateful.
If not I may have to phone the dealer and sell a kidney.
Many thanks.

You need to see if the temp senser is working its midway off the cylinder head next to the water hose outlet hose housing. It will keep running on provided the temp is hot enough to activate the senser after the engine is turned off.I dont no about where the relay is.My temp senser some times losses connection if i give the wire to it a wiggle after the engine is off the aux pump comes back on.

Hmm. The relay is is listed in the ETKA and I'm guessing allows the pump to run on. If the temp is high and the engine is running then the relay is actuated and the pump runs. When the engine is stopped or the lemp goes low then the relay stays in for 60 seconds (or whatever) and then cuts power to the pump.
I haven't even seen this relay yet so I could be barking but that's how I'd wire it. Could be that the relay just provides power as you say to the pump when the engine is running meaning no delay after the temp goes low but the pump can run after the engine is off. Hmmmmm indeed.

Euan, I've scanned in the factory manual diagrams for the TD coolant pump, where shall I send 'em ?
