1Y Injection Pump help!

Hi everyone, I've managed to recently swap a 1Y engine into my van. Engine will start for roughly 10-20 seconds (and will rev) but cuts out after that.

Fuel is getting to the injectors and i've managed to bleed them a few times. I know the fuel lines are air tight as i can suck fuel through manually, but the injection pump doesn't seem to be drawing in any fuel (or air bubbles) from the fuel filter?

I've had a couple of great people helping me through pm's on here, but I think we've hit a wall. My pump apparently made use of an ECU (originally), however it is meant to work just fine without. I'm still thinking this may be a immobiliser problem?

Anyway, I'm probably going to have fun getting a mechanic to pop round with how things currently are in the world, so if i can't get anything to work, i'm most likely going to swap the injection pump with the old one from my KY (which i know works). Would be great to get this pump working if anyone can help?

Yes, have tested to hear the "click" too.

Hope these help. I've basically only connected the 12v wire to the solenoid.

Made some progress today, colinthefox (top bloke) suggested I try a gravity feed fuel system, as it may be that the vane mechanisms in the injection pump are a bit seized?



Colin was right and I had the van started for well over a minute today (revved nicely too!). I had to turn the engine off as well, as i was filling the neighbours garden with blue smoke! I'm sure it would have run until the fuel ran out in my gravity feed bucket otherwise.

Everything is connected back up as usual on the van now. It will start for almost a  minute or so before cutting out (which is a lot better than 10-20 seconds!). So, I will try bleeding the system again tomorrow and see how things run.
