The tap has broken on my Westy - aparrently it is the microswitch.does anyone know can this be repaired? I've been told that the easiest way is to disconnect the tap and put a switch in? Help please!

Just buy a new faucet, not expensive, switch is not yet obsolete from VW but on back order.
An external switch is a bit of a bodge IMHO.
www.busshop.de I think it is, they sell the complete faucet and switch for about £30
