I'm fitting a westie pop top to my van in the next few weeks so I'm just working out how things works. Can anybody tell how the rainwater drains away from the front luggage section once it has gone through the drain hole and on to the roof.
I was told by the guy I bought it off that they found a lot of rust once they removed the front section. I will be ensuring that all drill holes are well protected but cannot see where or how the rainwater drains away.
Cheers
Graham

It just goes through the holes and then runs into the gutters.
The reason they rust so bad under there is that organic matter, ie. leaves and the sort drop through the holes and lie under there creating a moist enviroment.
A good cure for this is to glue some pipe gauze's over the holes, this will stop the crap getting under there and rotting away.
I'll do it myself one day.
