LHD Heater cables

I need new heater cables as mine have snapped. My '82 2.0 Aircooled is LHD, do you know if heater cables are 'handed'. GSF don't mention handedness but Just kampers have RHD heater cables? Any other recommeded places to get then from?

How big a job is it to fit them? My van has not got a electric heater fan.
