the leak problem continues

Post by billymaya »

well as from an earlier post ive still got puddles appearing in me foot wells, it originaly started coming from next to the accelerator pedle now it seems to have moved, it now trickles out from the bottom center panal as im driving along so it must be collecting some where, would it possibly be coming from the front grills as theres no engine between the front and me? ive checked all my seals around windows and there no leaks there

We have the same problem, although im pretty sure ours is the bottom corners or the screen, seems to be a small amount of rot under the seal.

We have this problem too with our T25 .We also have water coming in the roof light seals...just waiting for the rain to stop long enough to get up there to fix it.

prise the screen rubbers up at the bottom if you see rust its probable that its rotted out. the only proper repair is screen out im afraid........
also check the hole where your aerial comes in as mine leaked thru there when i first bought it

It will be your winscreen seal leaking then running down behind the dash and onto the floor. Easy fix, visit vw order a genuine seal about £30 from memory, cut the old one out then refit new seal. But treat and deal with any rust underneath the old seal. Dont use any sealer as they dont have or need any with new rubbers and was never fitted originally.
