Wiring Diagram 85 model DG Auto Starter trigger

Hi Guys

Im getting an intermittent start failure on my 1984 (85 Model) DG Auto

Happened again on way back from Wales

to save shorting the starter while laying underneath have run a wire up to 90 amp alternator that I just touch on battery wire and it starts every time.

Have Haynes and Bentley manuals but Bentley only shows injected models no carbs and Haynes only shows manual

Need the diagram for the red black wire from ign switch (Fitted new electrical part (Meyle fro BW) today) still not starting.

I know there is an inhibitor switch but just want to see wiring diagram if possible.

Have you looked at page 97.230 in Bentley.

Main difference between manual and auto will be the safety interlock on the shifter

It is my inhibitor switch

lucky for me the main switch is fine but the sweeping contact (Cheap part) is worn through.
Brickwerx are out of stock of Expensive bit but looks fine once stripped and cleaned

Ordered a new Sweeping contact from Brickwerx
