Plugs - dunno, mine`s a diesel
ht leds - as above
brake lights - fuses in fuse box, cover at base of dash below steering wheel. Should be fuse no. 2- 10amp. fuses and locations are listed on the back of the fusebox lid
The brake light switch is a common failure, it screws into side of brake master cylinder (below instrument panel), remove the 2 wires and bridge together, if lights come on switch is faulty.

The master cylinder is underneath the instrument (speedo) panel It has a white resivoir on top of it. The cover over the instrument panel pulls off from the back, there will be 4 screws holding on instrument panel and some connectors to pull off its then right in front of you.
the 'nut' is the switch. it operates on the brake hydralic pressure. It screws directly into the master cylinder and behind it is brake fluid! It has been possible to (so i'm told) to swap them without bleeding the system but you would have to be bloody quick swapping they switches.. not something I'd advise.. what I would advise is by a stains maual. Or borrow someones, for any car, it'll tell you how to bleed the brakes better than I could ever describe. If I get time I could always type it up..
short the wires with a peice of wire, paperclip ect see if the lights come on to make sure it is the switch!
you can undoo and replace the switch without bleeding the brakes!
you will only probably loose a drip or too,and as this is leaving the master cylinder no air can get drawn in.
just make sure you dont press the pedal with the switch removed!
place a rag/tissue just under the switch to catch the one drip you may loose!
