She's a knockin'

Post by luckopig »

Good day,

I'm looking for some advice, when I turn to the left - not politically, I get a knocking from what sounds like a wheel bearing on the offside.
I had the front bearings checked and tightened. I have been told it could be the CV joints round the back. Whilst the Wiki will tell me how to replace/repair them I am looking for advice on how to diagnose which one it is. Also should a grown up need to do it for me, how much might it cost and is there anyone to be recommended around Surrey
Thanks in advance for all the brilliant and valuable advice that will come pouring in any time now :D

A quick thing to check would be your driveshafts... get under t'van and give 'em a good tug.

I think they shouldn't move front to back, or up and down but they will move 'in and out'....
