Intermittent wipers issue
Hi guys, wondering if anyone could advise on this one.
I've got an '85 camper & I've rigged up a No 19 relay exactly as described in the wiki for vans with non-blade fuses.
The wipers work fine normally (regular & fast) and they also wipe 4 times when I put my washers on.
However, when I try "intermittent", my wipers just work the same as if I'd flicked them to "normal".
Have I done something glaringly wrong? I followed the basic wiring diagram to the letter. Have I picked up a dodgy relay?

very handy indeed imho.
So what cars are these fitted to? Do you not need any extra wireing mods to make it go on a later van (hows it work exactly)?
Sounds like a toy I need in my life, often find it rains not quite hard enough for my intermitant wipers to work silent and smoothly so this sounds just the job. Save me ditching my alrightish blades

Soft question but have you removed the white 'lug' which then allows the stalk to move down?

No I've read that and it doesn't mention anything about varyable intermitant wipers (relay type 99) that have teasingly been mentioned.
Already have normal intermitant wipers but like the sound of varable ones. Cars I've driven in the past with such devices had a seperate switch to change the timeing, which obveously I don't have, do I need one (hows it work exactly!) and what donor cars should I look for to rob one off in the scrappy?
If its just a streight swap, why wouldn't you not want one?

I have indeed, Shepster.
Whenever I move the stalk to the "down" position I just get normal wipers.
However, just noticed that I followed the wiring diagram that horace83 did.
I notice that there's another wiring diagram on the wiki which is slightly different by keith & Sylvia. I'll try the setup they have & try again.
I have non-blade style fuses, but I don't suppose it can hurt to try the alternative diagram. Can it?...
