modding Xmember

Post by sidinio »

I had a vision last night!
My bus had 18" centerlines on it and the front Xmember had been shaved off, resulting in a SMOOOOOOTH looking rat mobile.
Where can i get the centerlines?
Is there anyway of modding the Xmember?
And should i lay off of the mushrooms? :? :?

You can shave ya front cross member off but it is 1/2 of the strength gone should you be unlucky enough to have a frontal collision so it'd be bye legs ankles, even if you shifted it back you have encroached into the tiny crumple zone by around 4" - it's one of the few things there to help ya!! Have a look under a vans skin below... i had a bit of rust to remove so done it proper like... bit scarey....

Smooth it off n extend the steering wheel to the back seat, really confuse people as ya drive by when they can't see you up front! Mind you no one drives to break their van anyway...
