You can swap the barrel or re-key the existing one quite easily, if you are handy with delicate springs and tumblers

Two types available, central locking type and non-central locking type. Have a quick look for Syncrospares website, they also post on here. Email or phone CJ and he will sort you out a second-hand one asap, good service, good price too. VW main dealer will want around £35 for a new one, but when I enquired they were on back-order and didn`t know when they would have `em CJ sorted me a minter asap.
