Window winder extensions?

Both of my window winder handles have recently snapped... Where the windows haven't been opened for a couple of years, they were stiff and has buggered the handles.

The old handles had a chunky plastic gear extension behind it, to bring it forward to stop it rubbing on the speaker... However, all new ones seem to be flush.

Does anyone know where I could get hold of such an extension piece?

Similar to this on ebay, doesn't necessarily need to be metal... (and ideally a lot cheaper than £25 each!?)
