Fitting rear wash wipe

Post by philmcC »

Having waited a long time to do this I eventually had everything that I needed. There are 3 wires that come from the fuse box, green and white for the washer motor, grey and black and green and black for the wiper motor. I changed over the steering column stalks to one with a rear wash wipe function. The wiring from that was already present to the fuse box on my Caravelle C autohomes Komet. I had then to navigate the wires front to back, not particularly easy. I bought a guide wire off eBay which helped a lot. I got an auto electrician to check out my efforts and to wire it up at the fuse box. All works well.philmcC

I've had a rear wiper in a box for a few years now. Never found a need to fit it. Rear screen (at most) needs a quick clean once a month but think I'll use the stalk to instead flash a sign at the back that says "BACK OFF" :D
