How do you deal with this?

Hello

So I have the rear arch panel off and have noticed this

What would cause this rust and what are your recommendations for sorting it whilst I have the rear arch panel off?

is it a cut panel van ie the glass is secured in rubber seal that sits in the outer skin ? then it'll be the window seal leaking or could it be water ingress from condensation on the inside getting in through the seal or aong a screw that holds some interior in place ?

Hi Aidan. It is a panel van. Can the skin be peeled back further to deal with the rust? I will obviously sort the window apertures and seals too but don't want to leave live rust.

Can't add much to your questioning I'm afraid but please do keep the pictures coming in of this job. It is my next job to tackle and I'm thinking I'm going to have to get the full (to gutter) side panel to eradicate my corrosion & your pics are helping me figure out how to go about it!

Cheers.
