FYI you can get nearly every part brand new for your type 2 T3 (aka "T25").

You can get parts from the following:-

UK Suppliers:-

- GSF Carparts http://www.gsfcarparts.com/
- Just Kampers http://www.just-kampers.co.uk/
- Megabug http://www.megabug.co.uk/

German Suppliers:-

- VW Classic Parts Center http://www.vw-classicparts.de/ (This is VAG in Wolfsburg, very useful to know)

American Suppliers:-

- The Bus Depot (the best place to go for hard to get spares) http://busdepot.com/

Note: If you are looking for an indicator relay, do not go for the ones listed in Just Kampers, The Bus Depot etc since they are wrong !!! The part number The Bus Depot quotes is 111 953 227 D which are only suitable for ambulances.

The correct part number is 1H0 953 227, which fits all post 1971 beetles, Audi 90, etc.

I hope this helps.
